Our client is part of one of the largest global companies in the world and they are looking add a Sr Drilling Fluids Engineer to their expanding team in Aberdeen

The requirements for the role are:

*Responsible for a high profile project in Aberdeen (Deepwater, HPHT, ERD wells). The project requires a high level of knowledge and experiences in drilling fluids, completion fluids, solid control and waste management, and engineering software
*Performing complete analysis of drilling fluids including flow properties, composition and contaminants
*Performing analysis of drilling fluids materials and additives for specification and quality control
*Performing analysis of drilling problem such as lost circulation, stuck pipe, etc
*Completing the drilling fluids report and records on actual data, conduct performance analysis and highlight problems immediately after each job
*Advising rig personnel in handling of drilling fluid product to use appropriate PPE

The skills and experience required are

*Degree in Chemicals/Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering
*Has a minimum 6 years experience in field Drilling Fluids engineer with minimum 4 years experience working on offshore rig. Deepwater is preferable.
*Has experience in running High-Performance water-base mud and Synthetic-base mud, especially in HPHT and/or ERD wells
*Has experience in running and monitoring solid control equipments
*Has experience in oilfield terminology and practices
*Has strong problem solving skills

I am looking to recruit for a client in an established position as a market leader in the Oil & Gas Sector. They provide a wide range of services to the offshore industry worldwide involving design verification and independent analysis activities in various disciplines, including those of naval architecture, pipelines, foundations, structural , safety and mechanical engineering.

They are looking to recruit a qualified Engineer to take a lead role in delivering design appraisal services within the pipeline team in Aberdeen. This team have substantial expertise in design appraisal of subsea and land pipelines. This expertise includes high temperature - high pressure pipelines, pipe-in-pipe systems, bundles, reeled pipelines, flexible flowlines, dynamic flexible risers and riser caisson systems.

Reporting to the Pipelines Team Leader, the main responsibilities are as follows:

* Take a lead role in delivering design appraisal and pipeline consultancy services
* Manage multi-disciplinary projects
* Undertake pipeline analysis and review work.
* Liaise with internal and external clients
* Support the tendering activities
* Contribute towards the technology development of the pipeline team
* Supervise and mentor other engineers.
